Pan Grilled Pork Chops

Adapted & modified from

This recipe is so easy and does not take a lot of time to cook as compared to others that need at least 30-45 minutes. My previous attempts using other recipes always produced tough chops, these are so easy, moist and delicious. Notes to self: always use shoulder butt/collar meat

  • 2 pork chops, 1/2 to 1 inch thick
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasonings
  • 1⁄2 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp grapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

  1. Marinate the pork chops with salt, pepper and Italian seasonings and set aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat up the cooking oil in a frying pan until medium hot. Place the pork chops in the pan. Cook for 4 minutes until golden brown over medium heat. Turn the chops and cook for another 4 minutes.
  3. Turn off the fire, cover the pan with a lid and let the chops sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the pork chops to a place and cover with a aluminium foil to keep warm. If preferred, deglaze the pan with a little water and a tablespoon of butter and drizzle over the pork chops. Serve hot.
