Tip05 – Cake Flour Substitute

Cake flour is readily available in our supermarket here in Singapore, but I stop using it last year because of the strong bleach smell. With so many recipes calling for cake flour, sometimes I replace it with just plain flour or skip the recipe altogether. Fret no more,  I’ve finally found an easy way to substitute it from the kitchn,  all you need to do is – for every cup of plain flour or all-purpose flour, remove two tablespoons and replace with two tablespoons of cornstarch.
