Matcha Milk Pudding


Adapted from Anncoo / Baking Taitai

I’ve tried this recipe twice and using Ujinotsuyu Matcha Powder (Tanesei Trading P/L) makes a difference to the taste and texture of the end product.


Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Matcha powder (original recipe calls for 2 1/2 tsp)
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 300 ml Fresh milk
  • 2 tsp Gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • azuki red beans (optional)

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, soak and soften the gelatin with 2 tablespoons water.
  2. Stir milk and sugar under medium heat until sugar dissolved and milk to almost boil.
  3. Lower heat, sieve in matcha powder, stir well.
  4. Add in the soaked gelatin, and mix till gelatin dissolved. Turn off the heat.
  5. Pour the mixture into pudding cups, let it cool before chilling the pudding in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours.
  6. You can serve with azuki red bean as toppings.
